HOUSING
Thousands of families were displaced from their hometowns in southern Mount Lebanon as a result of the Lebanese civil war-Many of them moved to the suburbs of the capital city, Beirut. As Beirut continues to be congested and rents continue to increase most families live in substandard apartments and find it hard to sustain rents with no hope for ever owning their own homes. In addition, the recent explosion in Beirut has added a further strain on housing for the low to middle income families.
Darouna is raising funds to build green sustainable affordable housing to families in south Mount Lebanon. Our goal is to impact 500 families.
DONATE TO HELP US REALIZE THIS DREAM.

25 KG FLOUR BAG DISTRIBUTION
25 kg bags of flour are being distributed to 2000 families. At a time, food prices are reaching all-time highs and the Lebanese Lira has lost more than 80% of its value, Darouna hopes that these flour bags will offer some relief to families to bake their own bread and provide the basics for their families.
DISTRIBUTING WINTER HATS
Planning for the upcoming winter has already started. Wool-knitted hats, made by a group of Lebanese ladies. These woolen hats are being made for the sole purpose of distributing them to needy families in the mountains of Lebanon in souther Mount Lebanon.
